Experience

Carl Connett has over 20 years of experience in creating and supporting Microsoft Access database applications.  He started his career with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Missouri – Rolla.  After a few years in engineering, Carl switched his focus to database programming.  Before starting Extra Mile Data, he was a Business Systems Analyst for four years at a midsize manufacturing company and then a Database Consultant for six years at a multinational consumer goods company.

During those years, Carl created and supported Microsoft Access applications to collect, track, analyze, and report data for manufacturing, distribution, marketing, product supply, and systems.  He also specialized in converting existing Microsoft Excel work processes to new and more efficient Microsoft Access work processes.  Carl’s work required him to interview users to determine what their needs were, design and build the applications, train the users, and then provide long-term help and any modifications that were needed.
